How much do consignors earn?

Consignors earn 70% on their items.

Consignors are charged a $10 consignor fee that helps to defray the cost of facility rental and advertising.

    New Consignors

Preparation

  •  Contact us requesting to consign.
  • Read the contents of the Consignor packet that will be emailed to you and initial and sign the Consignor Agreement.  Please mail the agreement to me at the address in the Consignor packet at least a week before the sale begins.
  • Wash all clothing and clean all toys, shoes, etc.  See the Item preparation page for more information.
  • Carefully hang items. When hanging items, make sure that when the front of the clothing is facing you that the hook of the hanger is facing left. Make sure all zippers are zipped and buttons are buttoned
  • Input your inventory into the TagIt Lite system provided and print out your clothing tags.
  • You must print your tags onto card stock.  We have found 60-65# works best.  In order to help us with our Consignor pick-up we are asking that you print tags onto WHITE card stock for items you want returned to you at the end of the sale.  For items you want donated print those tags on PASTEL colored paper.

  • Tag items with tagging gun or safety pins.
  • Bring items to sale location on receiving days.  Please check our calendar for dates
Receiving

  • Sign up for a drop off time that is convenient for you.

  • Bring in all items to be consigned on hangers and tagged.  We cannot supply extra hangers.  Coming in unprepared will slow down the process for other consignors as well
  • Bring in the first page of your Consignor Agreement Form for our records
  • After we have finished inspecting your items then you will put them on the appropriate racks, tables, etc.

End of sale

  • You will receive a sales summary at the end of the sale.
  • Please arrive during pick up times to collect your items.  Anything not picked up during that time automatically become the property of 4 Lil Blessings and will either be donated or sold.
  • You do not need to be present during the sale, but by consigning with us you are eligible to shop at our pre-sale and are given first priority over the public.
  • Profit checks will be mailed out within two weeks of the end of the sale.

ALL items left after then end of the sale, which are not marked for donation and including those in our lost tags/lost items section, will become the property of 4 Lil' Blessings.

Get tagging supplies at unbelieveable prices!

4 Lil' Blessings has made arrangements for the complimentary use of TagItLite by our consignors.  TagItLite makes it easy to enter items and print tags specifically for our sale.

(Some of you will want the additional time-saving features of TagIt (www.tagityourself.com/) Use 4LBVA37 to receive a 20% discount.)

Detailed instructions for downloading, installing and using TagItLite or TagIt are available at www.tagityourself.com/lite/instructions.htm.  (If you have used TagItLite or TagIt before and it is still installed on your computer, follow the instructions highlighted in yellow.  Check to see if a free update is available.)

A user name and password are necessary for the free download and for importing the sale profile into TagItLite.  Let us know if you did not receive the user name and password after registering as a consignor.

We encourage our consignors to add a few items and print a test page of tags as soon as possible after installing.  Verify that every thing is working and that the barcode shows on your tag.

An early start reduces any last minute surprises.  You can troubleshoot problems at www.tagityourself.com/help/tags/printing.htm.  If you need additional help with the software, contact info@tagityourself.com.

Remember to print actual tags on cardstock.  Use white cardstock for items that you DO NOT want to donate if unsold.  Use pastel cardstock if you DO want to donate your unsold items.  Suggestions for doing this are available at: http://www.tagityourself.com/lite/twotagcolors.htm

We will ask TagIt and TagItLite users to submit an electronic inventory.  You will receive an email reminder.

Why Consign?

You control the pricing- Unlike consignment stores, you set the price for the item and decide whether it should be reduced.

Higher profits-  You get 70% of the selling price of your items, 30-40% more than local consignment shops.

Quick Profits- You get your profits check within two weeks after the end of the sale.

Early Shopping- You get to shop at our pre-sale before the public.

Focused Marketing- You do not have to worry about marketing your yard sale, making signs, paying for ads, etc. We do target marketing to a specific audience and bring in larger traffic.

You help to determine your profits by doing these three things:

  • bringing only quality items to sell.  Remember nothing stained, torn or older than five years.
  • bring as many items as you can find that you need to sell up to 300 per consignor.  This will give our shoppers lots of variety and give you more items that can sell.
  • price your items reasonably-we all want to sell our items, but if they are priced too high it will reflect badly on us and your items may not sell.  Remember to price them at 30-50% of retail.
